This beehive cover provides extra ventilation and fresh air to your hive, as well as an extra layer of insulation and protection when placed under an outer cover. By adding this wooden vented inner cover to your 10-frame hive, it prevents your outer cover from being propolized and stuck to the hive body, making it easier to remove without a tool or other supplies during harvest.
This beehive colony cover is made from 3/8-inch plywood with tongue and groove framing on the cover and the solid board, fitting on 10-inch beehives. Plus, it can be used with the Bee Escape, which provides an easy one-way route for bees when clearing the hive (sold separately).
