This root lifting tool works well for small bushes and shallow roots. Customers said it's "very durable" and "takes a lot less effort than cutting things down manually." Most effective for developing roots rather than heavy-duty tasks. Major complaint is poor assembly instructions that made setup frustrating for some.

  • Very durable and takes a lot less effort than cutting things down manually.
  • This works great! Better than trying to pull them by hand!

Instructions are terrible

I wanted to try this out so bad but after a ton of wasted time I couldn’t even get it put together. Instructions were awful and pieces that they said to put together appeared already done. I never could get it right. Total bust

Good for small and light roots

In my opinion the Brush Grubber Heavy Duty (4Ft) tool is good for areas that are small and the roots are still developing as the tool provides a better performance in this scenario. The assembly of the tool was not difficulty the material is resistant if at the right conditions.I would say that the tool is heavy duty for shallow and light rooting and not for heavy duty tasks.I tried to remove a small bush with thicker and harder roots and I could feel that the tool was not being effective as it required additional pressure that was not adequate for the tool.Overall I think this is a great tool to remove the roots that are starting to overgrow and make the removal more convenient than using hands or heavier tools.

Small but effective !

This works great ! And right on time for all the hard work. We used it for a few small tree roots we needed to get out and it was better than trying to pull them by hand !

Great tool!

Once you get this put together it’s great. The instructions that it came with are not the best and it’s kind of a guessing game on how it goes together. My dad has back and knee issues so this is a lifesaver with spring clean up outside and can take out a lot of huge problem brush plants.
