This floating cooler is popular for kayaking and jet ski adventures. Customers praised its ability to "keep ice well" and stability when towed. However, some reported leaking issues at seams and questioned insulation quality. The cooler tracks straight in water and offers good value, though construction quality varies.

Jet Ski towable usage

We are Jet-ski campers. We love the outdoors and our gear due to weight and space is similar to a hikers...We love this as the weight and space it provides us floats and is towable it is perfect for us behind the ski. We did have to play with rope length. This tracks well also we did burn the knot edges as added security but they are great. We bought two and they track each other and tow just fine behind our train when we are out for the weekend. Keeps Ice well for our outings for a overnighter and weekend. Great buy!!!! I lOVE THEM :)

Keeps Ice Well

My wife and I like to Kayak in the lakes in Arizona. I Googled this cooler and found that it was of good quality and insulated. The price at vm innovations was the best I could find. It was an "open box" item but I figured - it's a cooler. What could go wrong. And nothing went wrong and I saved a boat load of money. We have only used it once about a week ago. We packed up our gear and made one last stop for gas and ice. We purchase 20 pounds of ice, added our drinks, lunch and snacks into the cooler. The drinks were fine in their bottles but we put snacks and lunch in plastic tubs and then into the cooler just to protect them from getting beat up.
At the lake we got the kayaks and cooler into the water. I had an 8' rope clipped to the kayak and onto the cooler. It was very stable in the water and tracked straight. The only time I noticed it was there is when I made a turn. I would feel a little tug from the cooler as it resisted that change. We had plenty of ice for our day on the lake.
Back home I left the cooler in the back of the truck overnight. The temperature that night dropped down to about 75 degrees F. (I live in the Phoenix area.) The next morning around 10 AM I decided to unpack the rest of the truck. The cooler still had about 10 pounds of ice in it. It would have been good for another day. It is a great product for a day out fishing or kayaking.
My cooler did not have a seam on the hull. There is a seam where the top attaches to the hull (all around it). This seam looks tight. There are also some flat headed hardware fasteners with a hex head. That may be a way to take the top off and add sealant if needed.
