The composting system is engineered to support consistent performance through a combination of moisture control, airflow, and tray-to-tray migration. A moisture retention channel runs around the outer edge of each tray to help prevent bedding from drying out along the sides. Fifty-two angled migration tunnels extend from the base of each tray, allowing worms to move naturally between levels as composting progresses.

Molded aeration support points raise the trays slightly to promote 360-degree airflow throughout the system. This balanced environment helps support efficient composting while minimizing typical composting odors. An integrated base reservoir collects excess liquid produced during composting, commonly referred to as worm tea.
