Let me first state that I have had two Intex pools in the past of the same size so I am familiar with this type of product. This pool is very easy to set up and the materials seem to be quality made. It is a good looking pool and the darker sides help to heat the water quicker and maintain a good temp. However, the filtration system is absolutely horrible. The pump and sand filter are undersized. Thankfully I still had my pump and sand filter from my Intex pool so I could use it with this pool. But, what makes it horrible is the lack of an above water skimmer! We live in the country where we do get a lot of leaves, grass clippings (no matter how hard I try to mow away from the pool), bugs etc. The underwater skimmer does NOT do a good job. I can't believe that this product is sold without an above water skimmer. As much as I like the looks of this pool I don't think I could recommend it due to the skimmer issue.
I did not realize when I purchased this pool that it needed to come down at the end of the season. It cannot stay up in climates with snow. Honestly, had I known that I would never have purchased it at all. In fact, I wanted to send it back but my husband wanted to give it a try. It did assemble rather easily, though my husband is a carpenter... I'm not sure how I am going to empty 14,000 gallons of water without flooding my yard and possibly my neighbors yard. Other than that, the pool itself is huge and will be great for our large family. The stairs were not good quality and we purchased another set.
