This automatic water trough is hooked up with the included 30-inch hose to a standard 3/4-inch water hose or faucet. That means you can easily get water to this float-controlled water trough without any complicated plumbing. A 4-gallon capacity makes this auto livestock waterer ideal for horses and cattle, and when the water level drops below a certain level, the waterer will automatically refill itself from the hose.

This automatic water trough includes metal brackets for over-the-fence or on-the-wall installation (hardware not included). So wherever you have hose access and a solid object on the farm, watering the horses just got a whole lot easier.

Perfect waterer

I bought this to set up for my goats. This way with a float they always have fresh water. Now there is no more dumping and refilling. The goats love it they would recommend it.

Game changer

I had gotten this for baby goats. Just to be able to make sure they have water on days I work late. They still get water when I get home but I worry they will be out and might get thirsty. After all they are babies. But... my two dogs keep it busy staying full. This one I have took to my house hooked it to my hose and they drink constantly. I will be buying the baby goats one this week.

The Little Giant 4 Gallon Auto Float Controlled Waterer Livestock Water Trough is well constructed super easy to assemble and hook up and mount. It balanced and was sturdy on a fence rail. It has a adjustable float and doesn't stick or leak at all. It's a very useful item to have for your livestock.

The goat like it

I received this as a sample to try it out. Got a couple of goat's and I took a bit for them to get used to it and eventually they did. Now the only time I have to check water is to make sure it’s clean. Not have to worry about it being full. Winter is coming to see how it operates noon.

The Little Giant Waterer is an outstanding product that supports our pet's watering needs. The Little Giant reservoir allows for its bucket to automatically refill ensuring my pets have an adequate water supply. Having a 4-gallon capacity ensures the bucket will be stable and retain its water capacity. The bucket is very sturdy and durable and will provide for long-term usage. The other nice option is the capability to adjust the float so you can prevent the bucket from overflowing and/or provide an adequate water reservoir to handle the animal’s water needs.The one challenge I encountered was trying to clean the bucket. It took some effort and it was more difficult than I could imagine. The spigot worked well yet it left a significant amount of water at the bottom of the bucket. I would have preferred to have had the spigot placed where minimum amounts of water would pool at the bottom of the bucket. I made sure to locate the bucket in areas of minimal sunshine and shade to ensure the temperature of the water would be cool and not subject to intense heat. The Little Giant Water Trough is a very well-made bucket that is supplied with high-quality components. I give the Little Giant Water Trough a 4-STAR Rating.

Easy install

I got this little giant 4 gallon automatic float controlled waterer awhile back and I have to say I like it. I found it super easy to set up I put up all by myself and it works great. I’ve had no problems whatsoever with this electric waterer.

Little giant works like the GOAT!

The Miller 4gallon Little Giant auto float controlled water trough is perfect for my goats! Wish I had this sturdy waterer when I was hauling 5 gallon buckets to the goat yard in those >100 degree days this past summer. The younger goats have a step stool while the Nubian moms can drink at head level which they appreciate.
