The filter utilizes mechanical and biological filter media along with an internal ultraviolet sterilizer to keep your water clean and crystal clear. Included is a reusable filter pad to help remove fine debris, uneaten food and waste.

The **Pondmaster Clearguard Filter**'s Biological filter media is added to provide surface area for the growth of beneficial bacteria, which helps quickly break down toxic ammonia and nitrite. Internal UV sterilizer keeps your water clear by eliminating green water algae and also eradicates fish parasites and harmful bacteria.
