Our daughter already has a razor scooter without a motor so when she tried this motorized scooter it was a very easy transition. It took a few minutes to figure out the right speed before the motor kicks in it does not simply turn on the motor requires a certain speed which is not that fast but it’s not that slow either to start to activate. Once it kicks in the scooter moves relatively fast but not at dangerously fast speed which is important for parents concerned about the safety of this. If your child has never used a scooter before however I would caution that this may not be the best to start with the speed it moves at is probably much faster than they would be comfortable learning at. Other features such as the breaks wheels and frame are very good quality this is a well made scooter mostly metal construction did not feel cheap at all. The motor does need a whole to charge multiple hours but it carries quite far after a full charge. Overall this is a well-built beautiful scooter that functions great will provide many hours of fun.
