Redmon 65 Gallon Capacity Compost Bin with Lift Off Lid and 4 Door Access, Black

I got this bin to replace a wire mesh panel system and am really glad I did. It has a large capacity but does not stand out and the solid sides and lidmeans that the less attractive parts of composting stay hidden. It's easy to assemble the lid removes easily for adding compost and it keeps the critters (including my dog) out!

I've been composting for a year now in a trash can but I like this composter much better. It's easy and fast to put together with included bolts and seems sturdy. The lid comes off to dump and stir the ingredients and the bottom is open. You just push the pegs into the dirt to secure it. The doors at the bottom of each side open so you can get compost out. Plus there are airholes in the sides to drain and aerate.

This is a really simple compost bin with 4 sides and a lid. The bottom is open to the ground. It was pretty easy to snap the pieces together and you don't need any tools. I was able to press the bin into the ground securely. Make sure the ground is soft or wet where you plan to use it or it will be difficult to secure. The lid snaps on but I did have an animal get it off overnight so it helps to weigh it down with a brick. The interior seems to get nice and hot to aid composting. I took off one start because the side openings are a bit small which makes it difficult to get compost out. It's easier to remove the top. If you are going to stir it you have to remove the top anyway because there's no turning mechanism. Overall this is a decent compost bin for those who want something simple and easy to assemble. A turning mechanism heavier lid and bigger doors would improve function.

This was the perfect addition to my garden which wasn't doing to great to start off it needed more..Easy to use and maintain with a snap-off lifting lid and 4 access doors on each side of the bin makes it easy to reach your fully composted material without hassle while continuing to add materials at the top.My Garden thanked me later by providing me with an abundance of produce that my family & friend's have been enjoying

Assembly was insanely easy. Literally line up the tabs and tighten the bolts. Easy peasy had it done by myself in about 5 min. When done to get it nice and square and tight lift up one side briefly then tighten the bolts again. Do that on all 4 sides and it should hold square much better. The lid holds on tight and the doors seems to hold pretty good but we'll see once I have it filled. I do like the air holes and vents there's enough on here that I have no worries about poor air circulation.Few things I don't like about it the first are the stakes. They're thin and plastic so I'd be afraid of those breaking if your ground is too hard and you try to hammer it in. I installed mine of soft ground and still was uneasy as I placed it. 2nd turning the compost pile is gonna be very difficult with the opening. I suppose you could lift the bin off the pile turn it and put it back on top or shovel it back in but I'm not able to do that with my bad back and just turning it through the lid just seems cumbersome. 3rd I'm not too sure about the 65 gallon claim. I find it really hard to belive that this bin can hold more than my 55gal metal drum while being half it's size. I could be wrong but I'm highly skeptical of that.Regardless I still like this compost bin and will continue to use it as my open air bins are slow to compost at the moment.

I have a large garden and I have always wanted a composter. I decided to give this one a try. It was super easy to put together and I did it by myself. The bottom is open and it will decompose into the ground so make sure you have a space that is ready for that. Instructions for dos and don'ts are clear and it seems relatively easy to use.

Was so easy to put together and the quality is amazing. I can’t wait to see how much this helps our garden and flower beds not to mention so much less waste

I love my new Redmon 65 Gallon Compost Bin. It is made of heavy duty materials easy assembly it took about 15 minutes. There is no bottom to the bin. It is easy to open and closes securely. There is plenty of ventilation. I found the perfect spot in my yard for it it looks good. I am using it for organic waste fruits and vegetable scraps and egg shells. I love composting!

I got this compost bin a couple of weeks ago and love it. It was super easy to assemble and ready to go right away. It’s the perfect size to go by my garden and I have already gotten my compost started in it. This is very nice quality and looks like it will last a long time!

Super compact but with plenty of room fits perfect in the corner of my yard loving the extra doors.

I received this in the mail and It's sturdy put together with nuts and bolts . The bag was ripped and only a few nuts and bolts were in the box. We purchased 12 nuts and bolts at Lowes.Other than that the lid fits perfect.Good quality.We just set it up and like the way it looks.It was easy to assemble and husband put soil in it and so far so good!

This arrived FAST! The first thing I noticed was how strong/sturdy and well put together this bin is. It was fast and easy to put together with very clear directions. It's simple to use and the perfect size for my family. The doors are great and I love how I can easily access and move this bin around. The best part is how this simple bin is enabling my family to do something good for ourselves and the world at the same time. Sometimes making greener choices can be hard but this is a no brainer. It takes absolute minimal effort to use this bin and do something that benefits everyone. Oh! And I wanted to praise the lid on this! It is TIGHT but not in a way that makes it difficult to remove. Fits like a glove! We are already considering purchasing a second bin. So if you've been considering composting and have felt intimidated or unsure of how to get started or if you're looking for an easier composting solution this is a great choice!

I wanted to love this compost bin and it is fine but it’s only fine not great. First there isn’t a bottom so you need to create a dirt space to set it on. Second I was hoping it would have a crank to turn over and mix up the contents - unfortunately it doesn’t. All in all it will get the job done but it’s not fancy by any means. The big pro is that it was super easy to assemble.

The compost bin is easy to put together and lightweight enough to move around. We have it placed in our garden so hopefully we will have great soil for next planting season.

I am so tickled with my Redmon 65 Gallon Compost Bin! I had just been telling my husband how much I needed one and then magically I got this one! It was fate. The compost bin arrived at my home super fast & it was packaged s very well too prevent any kind of damage from happening to it during shipment & I really appreciated it. The compost bin itself was super easy to start putting together. It's only 5 pieces. 4 walls and a lid. It comes with the screws that you need to put the walls together. They're very easy to put in by hand and then just tighten up the nuts on the end of the screws. Don't tighten to tight. That way you don't break the plastic. But once the four walls are put together you just pop the lid on and it snaps right in place. Good hold on to it so I did think till just fall off in a little gust of wind. I do think it'll have to weighted down when it becomes really windy out though. Other than that it's got some stakes on the bottom of the bin that go into the ground but they aren't meant to hold it in the ground. Just mean to hold it from tipping over. It's well made though. Quality plastic. Even had a door on each wall you can slide up and get out the composted soil. Really simple and easy to use. I even put it next to my garden area so I could have easy access to it!I do highly recommend this compost bin. It's nice. It's a great size it looks good in my yard nothing that looks out of place. It's made well. Real simple to put together. Honestly what else could you want?!
