My cat has pica and has gotten trouble eating fabric in my sewing room. This gate works well. It is tall enough that she has not jumped over it. Even though she is only 8 pounds, she has not been able to squeeze between the vertical bars. I can keep my sewing room door open to watch what she is doing in the rest of my house and don't feel as closed in my room while sewing.
Oh my goodness I have really come to appreciate having this extra tall pet safety gate! I recently got a golden retriever. Since he is a puppy right now there are times I need to be able to keep him in a room while he is unsupervised as I need to run downtown or for shorter times such as taking a shower. It is so helpful when I can't be there to keep him out of the trash or chewing on shoes. It's tall enough that he can't jump over it but I also love that it allows him to walk up to the gate and still be able to see the rest of the house without feeling like he is restricted to one room. I like that it has a wall mount so I can leave it there and not have to take it down and store when I am not needing to use it. It swings open and locks in both directions. It did take me a little bit to read the instructions and get it mounted myself but it wasn't bad at all. The hardware is included which is great but I did need a drill. It has been such a life saver for me with my new pet! Very happy with it.
So happy we got this gate. We have a 1.5 year old baby and a dog at home that need to be contained now. This gate came with easy to follow instructions. It does require drilling into the wall but that is part of the reason is so sturdy and effective. My son has pushed down other pressure type baby gates but this has held him. The dog and baby are unable to get over it due to the decent height of the gate ( just under 41 inches). Another great feature is the gate swings either direction.
This gate is made extremely well. It installs easily and it fits securely. We appreciate that the gate can open both ways which makes it much easier to use. The number one thing that I want in a gate for our dogs is safety and this is so safe. It is nice and tall and the the spaces between the bars are nice and narrow. It is very sturdy too! This is lovely in appearance too! It reminds me of wrought iron and it looks really nice in our home. Our dogs can see us we can see them they are safe and secure and it is easy to get in and out of the gated area for us with the swinging door. If you are looking for a nice sturdy gate you will love this one!
We installed this gate because our dogs kept getting upstairs to the cats. This gate is sturdy and tall enough that they can't just jump over. Fairly easy to install and I'd recommend to anyone with bigger dogs!
I got this gate as an incentive for a review. It’s easy to install and it’s a sturdy and heavy gate. I used it on my stairs to keep my toddler from falling down the stairs.
This 42 safety gate is very durable. It was very easy to install. Very solid and not flimsy. My dogs have not figured out how to knock it down which is great. It’s very tall which is a great feature.
Very impressed. This is a high quality contraption. The gate is very heavy and seems like it will last forever. Will definitely hold back any size dog or cat or even an energetic toddler. Installation requires a bit of skill but very doable. Stencils included in the kit definitely help. So make sure to check instructions a couple of times before attempting to install. The only misgiving I have is the plastic hardware that attaches to the wall. Our walls are antique plaster on lath so right now everything feels solid and hopefully I am worrying for no reason whatsoever. In short this is a great gate well designed constructed with quality materials and built to last.
This gate wouldn't be able to stop anything. Right out of the undamaged box it looks like someone bent the bars
Recieved this to try I have one of these in my house that go from my kitchen to my living room I highly recommend them as I have always tripped over regular gates these with the doors are so much better I have always needed one to go from my living to my bedroom and that is where this one is so no more tripping over the baby gate and getting hurt these gates right here I highly recommend for anyone with pets or babies
This gate has been a great addition for our toddler and dog. Looks great with amazing build quality to come with it. It can be adjusted to fit all kinds of staircases or doorways. Very easy to install with minimal tools. The locking mechanism will definitely keep any child out.
This is a great product for your pet. It's extra tall to help keep your fur baby out of areas they do not belong. It is well made and instructions are easy to follow.
