Description

This quality SunGro Horticulture Sunshine Mix #4 is recommended where high air capacity and fast drainage are needed: during winter months, with water and salt-sensitive crops, or where frequent leaching is required. In total, it’s 3.8 cubic ft. of the compressed mix. It is recommended by SunGro for seed starting, cuttings and is also suitable for plug culture.

Mix #4 Growing mix contains Canadian Sphagnum peat moss, perlite, major and minor nutrients, gypsum, Dolomitic limestone, and long-lasting wetting agent. SunGro is setting the standard for generations.

It contains Dolomitic limestone to adjust media pH to 5.0-7.0 and to provide calcium and magnesium. Gypsum is added as a source of sulfur and calcium. In addition, Sunshine #4 has a highly soluble nutrient charge equivalent to about one liquid feeding with a complete fertilizer, plus trace elements at a normal rate.

Great Value for quality growing mix

I found this to be a great value for a large amount of planting soil. I consider myself an amateur gardener and mostly do raised garden bed and plants and herbs in pots so this soil worked very well for me. I was able fill a variety of pots and still have a ton left over for my raised gardening beds. The herbs I planted early in the season seem to be thriving! The bag isn’t the easiest to move but once opened the growing mix easily fluffed up. With the air added into the soil ability to control PH and moisture controls it’s a great soil for any level gardener.

A must for starting your garden.

I think this is my favorite growing mix. It is great for high climate areas. It helps with slugs. It is great for seedlings l. It's everything you need in one package. It is the best value for your money and it will help your garden thrive. It's durable and will last.

New for me!

I have not seen this potting mix available locally so I was eager to try a ‘professional’ blend! It was free from sticks/twigs and arrived at a perfect time to up pot my seedlings while they continue to harden off. I’ll be using the rest for pots containing annuals. Very pleased with this one!

This mix will be great for starting seedlings this Spring. I like that the soil is compressed so that the packaging is minimal. It is a very good value for the money.
