Great for getting large submerged debris out of the pool

I received this product complimentary from Influenster and Spreetail in exchange for my honest review. I really liked this pool vaccum. It was great for getting leaves and other large submerged debris out of the pool. It is a pretty powerful vaccum as well. The pol vaccum I currently own is not nearly as capable of sucking up large objects like leaves. This vacuum got the job done well. Some advantages include that it can be stored easily is portable and is lightweight. I would give this product more than 5 stars if I could.

Easy to use!

This pool vacuum was super easy to put together and use. It even comes with all the batteries needed. The only thing you need is the stick to your pool cleaner to attach this to. My daughter is afraid of those vacuum robots so this is a great alternative to use. It cleaned up the pool quickly and efficiently.

What a nifty gadget

So I have to be honest and say I won’t be able to test this until around June most likely. I was sent this during the fall time a couple months after I closed the pool up so how I’m expected to review this by now I’m not sure! I can tell you that when I open my pool there’s always a TON of leaves as unfortunately it’s near a lot of trees and every single day no matter what there is a mosh mosh of tons of leaves. Normally I use a pool skimmer and manually scoop them out in clumps and let me tell you that gets exhausting fast. Plus I’m not out there to clean leaves I want to enjoy and relax in the pool. So this is a hose less vacuum that you can use to suck up all the leaves on the floor of the pool and that deposits them into an attached net for easy disposal of them. Honestly if this works as well as it says it should it’ll be worth its weight in gold. This will cut down so much time I have e to spend cleaning leaves each time I go in the pool and as someone who has a ton of new rubbish in her pool each day this could be a total godsend. I will most definitely be coming back to edit this review once I do get to use this come pool time. I have high hopes for this and I hope to not be disappointed.

Big help!

This was a big help in getting the leaves off our pool cover. It enabled us to get leaves off we definitely otherwise would never have reached. We have a large property and look forward to trying to blow the leaves off the lawn to the street also.

Amazing

We got to use this right before closing down our pool for winter. It works extremely well getting out those pesky leaves and twigs. Its very easy to use. I love the bag attachment on it.

Very Lightweight

I was so surprised at just how little this weighs it’s honestly not too much more than the normal net we use to skim the pool surface. It was easy to put together and I’m overall very happy with this!

I’m so thankful I was able to get one of their amazing products. We have a small outdoor pool to stay cool during those hot summer months. The worst is all the leaves from my neighbors tree fill my pool! Now I don’t have to be so annoyed this quick and easy auto suction does it so easy and. I can just relax! I’m so thankful and highly recommend this no more netting for hours I can just relax! Get one for yourself and enjoy more summer fun!

Wow!

By the time I received this our pool had long since been put away so we haven't been able to test it properly. We are definitely excited to try it next year as all the reviews I've read have been pretty positive. And it saves me from having to clean the pool by hand.

Super powerful leaf vac for pool

This leaf vacuum works amazingUnfortunately our pool is closed down and nasty as we need a new liner but we were totally able to try this out and it works very well! My husband tried it while i filmedThe mesh bag is really strong and even when we had it half full it was no problem to lift the leaves in the bag. It does in fact operate off of 8 AA batteries which we both said would be good to use rechargeable

Solid!

Well this one had me looking like a lunatic given that it isn’t currently pool cleaning time in my area lol. I have to say a few things though in my limited review. The debris bag will hold a ton and that’s great instead of other products having to stop and empty etc. I was also pretty impressed with the suction power of the unit. I can’t wait to try it out more thoroughly come pool season but I would recommend for sure!

Definitely worth it

We used it the first day we got it. It helped us a lot with all the neighbors trees we had a lot of leafs in our pool. Definitely a game changer. I highly recommend it and it’s easy to use.

All Hat --- No Cowboy

The Pool Blaster is a wonderful concept that has the lifespan of a mayfly. When it is working you will love it - but the romance doesn't last long.
I had read about leaks in the battery compartment and I initially had indications of some problem with that. I think I successfully countered that by modifying and stretching a child's balloon over the battery compartment cover ( all the way back behind the screw lugs mounting area) and adding a couple of rubber bands. Theoretically this relieved some of the water pressure.
The Pool Blaster stopped working the first time (after three uses) because of a bad wire on the 9V battery connector that couples with the battery holder. I replaced that and it worked fine. ( I'll address other battery issues if there is space.) Just to be on the safe side I disassembled and dried out the battery compartment after each use. I also well drained the unit and let it air dry.
After two more uses the Pool Blaster stopped working completely while it was being used. I repeatedly let it dry, checked and re-checked the batteries and connectors but nothing worked. In frustration I opened the cap to the motor mount (at that point I couldn't hurt anything) and it was full of water, ergo-- motor shot. Moving the gears to get the windings off any dead spots didn't help.
Perhaps the balloon trick over the motor compartment may have helped but I'm not willing to re-invest the money to find out.
As long as I'm into this I'll also address the issues I had with short battery life. The original batteries were fine but fresh replacements didn't last long. I finally figured out that the original batteries were eight 1.5V batteries with a approximate output of 12V to power what I assume is a 12V DC motor. Works fine. However the standard batteries most easily available are 1.2V giving out considerably less that the originals. This is not pointed out in the instruction manual. 1.5 AA batteries are readily available but you have to look for them under the "Max" designation. ( I also was planning to use rechargeable 1.5 batteries but apparently they are a little larger than the standard AAs and won't fit in the battery carrier.)
Again, when the Pool Blaster is working I love it! Unfortunately, I probably got a total of maybe six hours of service from it and spent much more time than that trying to keep it working. If this lasted for even two seasons I would be happy to continue replacing it (talk about our lowered expectations) As it is, I can't recommend it.

Good idea but a little too expensive to break during first use

May be able to cover the batteries up so moisture won't get to them...worth a try.

Just got this and it works great

We've got a fairly large 9' deep pool.  It has pop-ups that do a good job of keeping the bottom clean, but all the leaves and palm pieces that won't go through the drain to the filter end up in a circle around the main drain at the deep end.  I've been scraping them up with a net on a pole for years and cussing the whole time.   The net would scatter more around than it picked up.  I decided to take a chance on this device and was amazed at how well it picked up all the junk around the drain.  It honestly worked bettter than I expected.  I can't say how well it will hold up, but I'm hoping it lasts a long time because it sure cleaned up the bottom of my pool.

It is also very easy to use.  I have had a stroke and walk with a cane and I was still able to use this on the bottom of the deep end of the pool.
