Nice big box of firestarters

This was a really good size box of firestarters. It was a good value compared to what I usually buy and they worked really well for backyard campfires. We plan on keeping a handful for camping and hurricane season. Overall a good product I would certainly purchase.

I had not heard of or seen Fatwood rip and burn fire starter before testing this product. I was so impressed with it it is the only fire starter I will buy from now on! It is easy to break into smaller pieces to start a fire! No chopping necessary! I have used it to build a campfire and also to start my wood burning pizza oven! Highly recommend as a convenient and clean way to start a fire!

No mess easy and effective.

I used two chunks broken into 1/2 wide pieces and put them in my fireplace with kindling and some larger logs. Within minutes I had a nice roaring fire. Great product!

Hot fast and a little goes a long way.

Do not skip the kindling!!! We are huge fans of heating our home with fire so this was the perfect product for us to test. I am a novice Firestarter and I once tried to bypass the use of kindling and used the Rip and Burn wood starter. The fire didn't catch. The fatwood burned much too quickly and it does not coal up. You still need kindling for using this product. My husband an advanced firestarter says he really likes how the Fatwood (even though it's really thin) gets things going and it helps revive flames from coals that lasted overnight with new logs. The only major downside is that it is coated of pine resin so it leaves a lot of creosote in the chimney or stovepipe which really stinks. The creosote is visible through the glass window and builds up quickly. Use this product sparingly.

decent firestarter

It’s super easy to use. It can pull apart very easily and fire any size wood. It comes in thin pieces and it can ignite very quickly. It lights quicker and burns better. This is made of sawdust.

Very effective!

I’ve never used fire starter before so I was really excited to try this! It’s a huge box of very thin sheets and you don’t need a lot of them to support a strong fire. I expect this box to last a long time. It’s a little difficult to rip some of the pieces into smaller pieces because they are of varying thickness. If you’re looking for firestarter and plan to make a lot of fires I would recommend this. Just be aware of how much it comes with and how heavy the box is. I appreciated that they don’t add chemicals to the wood so you don’t inhale toxic or unnatural fumes from the fire.

I recently tried out this waterproof fire starter and it was fantastic! Despite the damp conditions of Vegas right now it caught fire almost immediately and the flame was steady and strong. It made starting the fire a breeze and I didn't have to worry about it going out. Super handy and totally worth packing for any outdoor trip as well! 🪵🪵🔥
