Enjoy your backyard swimming pool with the FAFCO Original Solar Bear! Extend your swimming season by warming your cold pool and ensuring comfortable water temperatures.

The Original Solar Bear's connected tube design is the most efficient solar pool heater available. Extra large manifolds maximize the flow through the pump and filter system.

The Original Solar Bear system is comprised of one 4ft x 20ft solar panel and one Starter Kit for simple plumbing to your pool. The panel is made from UV-stabilized polyolefin material and will last for many seasons in direct sunlight. The integrated manual bypass valve can be used to shut off the system when the pool is up to the desired temperature.

The Original Solar Bear can be mounted flat on the ground or on a ground-mounted tilted rack.

Note: For best performance, panels should face south, tilted 10 to 30 degrees with unobstructed sunlight. The system should operate between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on sunny days.

Longer Pool Season / No Operating Cost

There are many ways to heat a pool but this is probably the most cost effective and efficient. Solar means no electricity and no gas or propane. They key is finding a spot with the most sunlight. I have a tall house so for us it had to go on the roof to get an unobstructed angle to the sun. It was a bit of a pain to install going up a bilevel house but worth the extra time and warmth we get with the pool and the convenience of a permanent solution. You will need some adapters if you have Intex like I do. NPT to Metric adapters did the trick.I have a 5000 gallon pool so for us this was a huge difference maker. If we measured it would usually bring the temp from around 75 to 83 degrees fahrenheit. You can feel the water hotter on one end than the other when it circulates. Would highly recommend.

Amazing

I’ve been wanting to enjoy my Pool longer on those months when the temperature goes a little down so this is the perfect solution for me to extend the usage of my Pool. The instructions are very easy to understand of course I needed my husband help because the box was a little heavy for me. But my husband said it was very easy to understand. Now I can enjoy my warm pool. Overall I really recommend this product

Hello Year Round Swimming!

We got a pool a few years ago and my most hated thing is trying to cover it in the winter months when it is too cold to use. This solar heater is the greatest thing ever. First of all this package is massive and can be quit intimidating. But don't worry if I can do this anyone can. In a nutshell you want the solar panel to be in direct sunlight for the warmest part of the day while the pump is running so you can circulate the warming water. Simple right?It really is that simple and now I will be using my pool year round!

This solar heater is perfect for our outside pool! It heats up nicely no more complaining kids that the pool is too cold.

Love this pool cover.. It is easy to install just roll it out and place it on your pool... Pool temperature on my pool is staying at 80 degrees which is a good temperature for me and the kids.. When you want to remove the cover just pull it back and roll it up. It's easy and quick to use.

It’s definitely way bigger than I thought which is a good thing because it fits my pool great. Very heavy and durable. The hosing is separate you have to purchase that. But it keeps the heat in my pool and continues to heat through out the day

I was a little skeptical at first but after getting it set up and using it I really enjoy it and it was really simple to install we built the stand for it and it works fantastic.
