This product did its job. Kept the water for the animals warm unfrozen

Keeping the ice from forming.

I have been using a different brand of trough heater for a few years and they always seem to give out about halfway through the winter. So far this submergible trough heater is working great on these below freezing nights and helping the trough from developing ice. I am certain this will do a pretty job of keeping the trough ice free even during the winter months when it dips below zero.

Works fantastic

Where I live I don't yet have ice so I went and bought a large bag of ice to test this product out. It worked so well. It melted the ice in about 5 minutes amazed by this product! Definitely a must have if you live in colder temperatures and have outside farm animals!

Great for any barn

This is absolutely perfect for the barn we had an early freeze and I made sure it was in bucket before it happened and it kept everything from freezing and did not overheat I'm so glad that I got this My horse is absolutely love it because all the water outside was frozen except for one

Works good

I have a dozen chickens and use a 5 gallon water cooler with a chicken water adapter for their water. Great system until the temperatures drop below freezing when the water nipples freeze solid and I'm back to carrying and refilling poultry water founts placed on a cookie tin warmer. This year I bought this submersible de-icer and it arrived in the midst of a week of freezing temperatures- so cold that the water in the cooler had a skim of ice on it. That evening I broke the ice and placed the deicer in the bottom of the jug. The next morning the cooler was defrosted and the chickens were as happy as I was!

Works as advertised

Picked this up as a backup emergency de-icer for our horses. Tested it a couple times and worked as advertised I am confident it will do the job if needed.

Works Great

I was actually surprised that this wasn't a little bit bigger. I don't know why I was expecting a bigger one. But I'm glad that it didn't come in a bigger size. This one fit perfectly and it didn't take up a lot of space so it was able to warm up the water quickly and keep it that way for an extended period of time.

Works great!

I live on a farm in Northern Idaho so as anyone can imagine it gets pretty cold here! I was able to use this earlier this week to unthaw some ice in our water trudge and it worked well. Definitely had to use an extension cord but we have lot laying around so it was not a problem. Well probably get some more for gifts this holiday season.

Submergible deicer

This de-icer has a nice heft to it and the quality seems to be pretty decent with the waterproofing. I do wish that the cord was slightly longer but it works.

You need the Submergible De-Icer in Winter!

We got the Farm Innovators Inc. - Farm Innovators C-500 Submergible Cast Aluminum Utility De-Icer to put in the stock tank for our cattle. It warms up just enough to keep the water from freezing and is exactly what we needed to prevent loss in our herd. Wisconsin winters can get to 30 below zero or worse so this is a huge relief to make sure our cows will have water available.

Great For the Farm

This product is great to use for your horses cattle or any other livestock you have. You can submerge these in their water water buckets and it helps keep the water from freezing! I have used these several years and they are very dependable and last for some time. If you have livestock this is a must have in the winter!

Going to be great for my chickens

It hasn’t been cold enough for me to fully and appropriately use this yet but I am very happy with it. I will be placing this inside my chicken’s 5 gallon water bucket for the winter. I would say it is very important that you read the instructions to avoid electric injury to yourself or your animals. It needs to be plugged directly into an outdoor GFCI outlet without any extension cords to be grounded. Let’s just say this unit gets really warm! My girls are going to be very happy with their warm water this winter.

I bought this a month ago and I think for myself it worked wonders first of all it's multi uses for this de- over not just for on the farm you can also unfreeze tanks wether their metal plastic also you can use it in a pond as well I absolutely love this becomes it comes in handy for the animals when it's freezing outside
