It works as intended!! It does feel a bit cheap if you look closely it is just made of plastic of course so won’t have the old fashioned barrel feel. There is a clip on the side that holds the hose to it it pulls right out when removing the nozzle. But this does not effect the function. I will try to fix with some hot glue. But even with it coming out it’s not a big deal.

The rain barrel was a perfect addition to our garden. It was easy to set up and includes everything you need. The design is pleasant to the eye but also not too bulky. It's lightweight when empty. The screen is easy to remove. The attached hose has a lever which allows you to open and close the drain hose. This can be placed under a down spout gutter or have one diverted to it. We placed ours where we have typical rain run off and it collected a fair amount of water. The only con I found was that due to its dark color you might need to shine a light into the barrel to see how much water is in it. Overall the sturdy quality composite material looks like it will last us a long time.

I love the idea of being able to recycle and reuse rainwater. My hose is on one side of the house which is of course the opposite of where my flower bed is. So for me a rain barrel is awesome to have for watering my plants it’s convenient for quick and easy watering. I love that rain is being collected for later use.

This outdoor rain water barrel is fantastic. Light easy to clean and easily moveable. Quality polymer was used in this and it features a nice rain collection lid on top and a real ease at the bottom. Highly recommend for use of rain water in gardens!

Nice quality. Be prepared to spend a bit on the install accessories and a good spigot. I was trying to find a better looking rain barrel stand to match with no success. The screen on top is nice and no issues with it drained after our first heavy snow of the year.

I received the FCMP Outdoor RC45 45 Gallon Outdoor Rain Water Catcher Barrel Containerin Black to review. My review is based on my opinion of the product so far and my experience with it so far. We set this rain barrel up with little effort it was quite easy to understand the set up. The size seems to be a good size for what we need. Everything seems to fit well and work well as of right now. I will be interested to see how this holds up with a large rainfall but so far so good.

45 gallon rain barrel is great and will come in handy for my flower beds. Definitely recommend.

I got this to help water my garden! I have been collecting rain water for the past few weeks and I can wait to use this in my greenhouse to help water my seedlings and then this spring to water my garden!

I've seen quite a few ugly bright colored and in the way rain barrels. This rain barrel has a flat side so you can put it against a wall without a huge footprint. The black color doesn't stand out like bright blue would. The material seems durable and I expect it to last a long time. The included hose was easy to install. The water intake on top seems like the slots are a bit wide and will still allow bugs and debris in there so I plan to add some mesh over the top. It says not for use in freezing temperatures and to drain it so I'm not going to be able to use it over the winter but come spring it's on! Hello lower water bill! Lightweight and overall great product!

I have been wanting a rain barrel forever so when I had an opportunity to receive one I was beyond thrilled. First of all it is super easy to set up. 3 pieces that is it. Which is my ideal situation. Next it was easy to carry down to my yard by my gutters. I love the screen on top as I have a lot of trees so leaves are/were always a concern for me. Not an issue at all. The top screen keeps all the leaves out. Next concern was the birds as during the 'dry season' I was nervous the wren would set up shop (it nests in the oddest places I have found in my yard). But with the screen no risk of birds getting in. Next part is the hose connector. It was super easy to connect to the barrel. You just push it on and it securely connects. I had two places to put my rain barrel and decided to put it in a place where the hose does not always reach. This way I can connect my shorter hose to the barrel hose and have an instant water source for my plants and bushes. (As they are on the hot side of my house where the regular hose does not reach). It was easy to cut my gutter and use a connector piece to redirect the downward spout into the barrel. The directions for this are really easy to follow. You do need to ensure it is on a flat surface. The ground we have it on is flat but we decided to use a square paving stone just to ensure it did sit flush with the ground. Could not be happier!

This barrel does the basics. If you have one rainspout and you only have room for one barrel and your want the house on the right hand side this barrel will work perfectly for you. It is a rugged design and I liked the way they finished off the plastic type of welding around the drain spout.I daisy chain barrels and this is replacing an old one that was not manufactured well on the drain spout. What I would have liked to have seen with this barrel if they were only going to have one drainage port is that it be in the center. I had to get an incredibly long hose in order to daisy chain this from my existing setup. I also needed to put in a Y adapter so that I could have water go into the barrel from another barrel and come out of a hose. This is not the optimal setup but since I am usually not taking water out in the rain it does work. It would have been preferable if they had put in two ports. One for incoming water from a daisy chain and one for the water to come out.For the one barrel setup this is a perfect rain barrel.

This outdoor rain barrel is awesome for an alternative water source. I have raised garden beds and the rain has been very little this year so I'm looking forward to using this and collecting rainwater to keep my fruits and vegetables watered. When you order it it's very lightweight but once it fills with water it is heavier. I love the fact that it has the lid on top so small animals such as squirrels or birds can't fall in and drown. And also has a water hose attachment so that I can hook my hose to it and take it to the garden or my fruit trees to water from. The setup is extremely easy with this and because it is so lightweight it was easy to have it shipped to the house and take it to you the back garden. This is really good quality made and I love the flat back on it. That way I can put it against the house instead of it's sticking out. I put it right underneath the gutter drain and that way whenever it rains it will fill it up without wasting water. Very good quality and really great product.

I’ve always wanted a rain barrel. FCMP Outdoor RC45 45 Gallon Outdoor Rain Water Catcher Barrel Container is great! I love the color I choose black. The barrel is very sturdy. The hookup was very easy.

So I received this today and it was a little smaller than I thought it would be looks like a good product. It did rain yesterday so I was unable to put it to use yet. I am sure it will all work out.

It will pay for itself. It's awesome!
