Gelish 2021 9mL Feel the Vibes Gel Nail Polish, 36 Watt LED & Basix Care Kit

Really wasnt sure about this set because it seemed a little intimidating at first. Now Im so happy I have it and wont have to get my nails professionally done, going to save so much money in the long run. I love the long lasting gel that lasts for weeks before I have to redo it. The colors really pop and are super bright and shiny. The machine works super fast to cure and then youre done and free to get back to whatever else needs done. One bottle of solution was half empty from the shipping but Im sure they will fix my issue when I let them know. Really cool set.

This kit comes with a lot of the essentials that you need to do your nails. You get the Gelish Basix Care Kit that includes the pH bond(15ml), Foundation base(15ml), Top it Off(15ml), Nourish cuticle oil(15ml), artificial nail remover liquid, and nail surface cleanse. I also got six soak-off gel polishes from the Feel the Vibes summer collection. My favorites out of the bunch are Into The Lime-light a nice vibrant lime green and Keepin It Cool a periwinkle color with a beautiful shimmer. The formula is great and they apply evenly and look gorgeous. I like the variety of colors that came in this kit. There is also a 36 watt Gelish LED 18G plus nail light included that is fabulous. The light looks so nice and it is very sturdy and has an eyeshield, a magnetic detachable bottom and a touchscreen with preset times. The light has a motion-activated hand sensor that automatically turns on when your hand is placed in the lamp. It Works so fast and cures my nails in 45 seconds. The Comfort Cure feature iis great for avoiding heat spikes when using the light. This is a very high quality lamp and so worth it. I feel like this kit is awesome and you get a lot of great products.

Ive never painted my own nails before, but Ive seen a lot of nail art and wanted to give it a go. What really drew me to this Gelish set was the LED light that cures nails in a minute or less, so you dont have to waste time waiting for your nails to dry. However, after using this kit, Ive learned I definitely need practice painting my nails, so I recommend not curing your nails with the Gelish LED until you have a design youre happy with because once your nails are cured, the gel is difficult to remove, which is great for those who are pleased with their nails final look.
I started off the process incorrectly by using Nourish first when its supposed to be used last in the process. Nourish is a cuticle oil that you massage into the cuticle and skin around the nail to provide hydration. I really love this product! It has a nice citrus smell, and doesnt smell artificial. It made me feel like I was at the spa. Nourish gave my nails a nice shine and left my skin feeling super soft. Im definitely going to start using this product on a daily basis.
I let Nourish sit for around 30 minutes before using the PH bond, which seems to do the opposite of Nourish. The PH Bond is supposed to remove surface oils from your nails. It has a strong smell, but dries quickly. Next, I used the nail prep Foundation. I wasnt expecting this product to be so thick! It will cure in whatever manner it was applied, so mine wasnt as smooth as could be, but it made my nails shiny and strong. It felt like a nice protective layer.
Next came the nail polish. The Gelish polish itself all come in beautiful high-quality pigments. My absolute favorite from the set is the metallic purple called All Day, All Night. I tried to do a cute French manicure with all the bright, fun colors, but ended up getting the polish all over my hands out of sheer inexperience. Even with the topcoat, my manicure didnt turn out as dazzling as I had hoped, but with more practice it will, especially since this is such a great product.
I think people with more experience painting their nails will get the most out of the Gelish Feel the Vibes set. I also think this polish may be better for artificial nails since, again, it is really difficult to remove (removal requires buffing and breaking layers of cured gel). Despite that, this set consists of products that provide a long-lasting manicure. The colors of this set are fun and playful. The light makes drying painted nails easier than ever. Overall, Im having a lot of fun with this set.
