The saltwater system's unique 2 stage technology uses an E.C.O. (electrocatalytic oxidation) process designed specifically for above-ground pools. To begin the E.C.O. process, a small amount of salt is deposited into your pool. The electrolyte cell in the system then uses the salt to produce sodium hypochlorite. This results in cleaner, gentler water for you and your family to enjoy.
The Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System requires a filter pump with a flow rate between 700 and 3,000 GPH and is for use with a maximum pool size of 15,000 gallons. The system machine has an improved control panel with a digital display, an easy access button, and an added power button for convenience. The setup process is also simple, with included instructions.

Great product! I received this product a few months back and wasn't able to review the product due to tech issues. I’ve had time to try it out in our new pool and it works great. We have a 13000 gallon pool and this is more than sufficient for it. 
Great above ground pool pump I was kind of Leary about it at first but the saltwater pump is amazing and my pool is so clean and works amazing definitely recommend
Great system and great quality! I love the salt water system because you don’t have to use all the harsh chemicals. My pool is perfectly clear and overall cleaner and better feeling.
I love that this has a digital control panel that shows if there is low salt or high salt content in the pool water. The salt seems to help keep the pool water a bit more clear longer.
Unfortunately it is wintertime in the rocky mountains so I can’t test this right now but it looks super efficient and worth the price tag. It was shipped in a sturdy box with lots of supporting materials. The tubing and plastic is durable and well made. The specifications also show that it can be used versatilely in many different sized pools. I plan to update my review when we can actually set it up in summertime but so far this looks amazing! Also it has a two year limited warranty from Intex.
Guys….if your kids love swimming and you don’t want to pay for an underground pool get an intex and add this saltwater filter! It makes your skin feel amazing. So much easier than chlorine! My daughter always has itchy burning eyes with chlorine we hate the smell and the way it makes our skin feel. This eliminates ALL of those issues!

~ Greetings I received this item Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System from Intex and Influenster complimentary in exchange of my honest view. This is a great item and it is made for above ground pools and uses salt to clear your pool water. To the filter water you simply add salt then you simply connect to your filter pump with included hose on this device! The rest is automatic; the de solved salt molecules passes through the electric cells where they get split and turn into chlorine as chlorine tends to kill bacteria then the system with this machine reverts back the chlorine into salt leaving your above ground swimming pool water fresh and clean. This machine also has easy and simple digital control and timer for easy scheduling. We instantly put this machine into work. What I saw and noticed was the clarity of the water inside the pool! A++++
Decent product however I do think chemicals may keep the pool clearer. Not a bad product for what it is at the end of the day no complaints. I used this is my pool.
It's the middle of winter here when I live so I can't exactly try it. I've tried other products from this brand and they worked perfectly fine. Can't wait to try.
I'm glad I had the opportunity to try this because for the past couple of months I've been considering getting a filter for our above ground pool. There was always sludgy algae on the bottom and I rarely trusted swimming in it. After using this the water looked like a public pool clear as day and clean. My skin wasn't irritated as it sometimes gets with a lower quality filter. I am so glad I got this and recommend it. Worth the buy in my opinion.

I purchased it on 5/26/2020, received it couple days later, set it up and had no problems with it until two days later.
It would not turn on, there were no lights on the display, I tested it on a known working outlet where the pump was plugged in, checked GFCI, no go.
I called Intex, nothing, emailed vminnovations.com, no reply. Yesterday I received an email asking to review my recent purchase , so here is my review.

We recently purchased our 2nd Intex pool (Ultra XTR - 18' x 52") after having to replace our 1st one of 6-7 years because it needed some vertical legs replaced but they no longer made replacement parts for it. The pool filter that came with our new pool did not have the saltwater system built-in so we purchased this saltwater system which easily attached to the filter by using one hose. It was a simple hookup. It'll run every evening for 10 hours straight in order to chlorinate & keep the pool water sparkling clean. We have no complaints. My family & I look forward to some fun hot summers with this system. It's average life span for us has been 3 yrs.
I haven't used this. My other one was messing up so I ordered this. Now I have the other one running. It was my mistake.
Works great for my pool, once chemical settings are good this system cuts down and out of more chemicals the whole summer season
