We've been using air mattresses for years since we gave up our waterbed. They give the same comfort without the weight (our house is almost 100 years old) and the temperature lag. Waterbeds take forever to change 1F. up or down. Plus, you don't need a wet vac if you spring a leak.
The manufacturers say they are not intended for everyday use but, replacing one is so much easier and cost effective than a conventional mattress. We've used a few different makes and models over the years. This Premaire II is not the most expensive we've tried so far but maybe the best. It would probably not be very good for camping but, if you need one for guests, or even everyday as we use it,
you can't go wrong with a premium quality Intex.
