This heated chicken waterer base features galvanized steel construction and is durable, rust-resistant, and made to last. The heating element in this base has been completely redesigned for improved safety and efficiency. This model features a fully enclosed bottom to protect the heating element and provide improved fire safety. The cord of this device should be protected from animals and used with a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protected outlet. This heating unit is also energy efficient and turns on only when the temperature drops below freezing, using less than 1 amp per hour.
