These are not earth shattering sub woofers nor are they garbage.  If you need a mid woofer in your application these might work well for you.
I installed these to the front door of my honda accord. Since I already have tweeters in the dashboard, these worked out great and were a small improvement over the original speakers.  Bass response is pretty good as long as you're not expecting a hard hitting sub that rattles your chest.
Even though they are mid woofers that reach up to 10khz, I swear I can hear more highs with these installed and definitely more mid range detail. 
note: there is no information about which terminal is negative or positive. I hooked them up both ways and chose what sounded better to my ears.
