I bought this scooter for my 8 yr old granddaughter for her birthday. She loves it! Although it is recommended for 13 and up, it fits her perfectly. She lives in the country on a large plot of land and she rides it everywhere. Love it!

This is one of best kid toys we have ever purchased!  My 10 year old daughter is HIGH ENERGY and this keeps her busy for hours.  She has a couple of friends in the neighborhood - she just hops on her bike "by mom" and off she goes.  Gave her such a sensse of independence and responsibility.  She puts her protective gear on, calls me when she gets to her friends, makes sure she puts the scooter away and plug it in to recharge, etc... Ive taken it to the park and she uses it on the paths or fields and everyone stops her to ask where she got it - she loves to have the dog follow her on it too.  It doesnt go too fast or too slow.  She feels very in control of it.  This was a great alternative to those dangerous hoover boards she kept asking for.  We live in CT - very hilly, rocky, and cold in winter... but so long as no ice/snow on the ground she is on it ALL THE TIME! Only "con" i can thing of is that it took us a bit to find the instructions to put it together - it was in the seat - duh- and also it was a little tricky installing the handle bars down into the shaft.  little wiggling and patience is all the is needed there but was kinda annoying as my kid was standing over me waiting as patiently as possible (we charged it the day before)- but it was worth the wait!  we have only had it a couple of weeks but im hopful this will last - seems of good quality and not that costly for what you get. i can see her using it all throughh summer for sure!

Still have not received the product on 1.4.17 and it was suppose to be here on 12.23.16, for my 12 Year son for Christmas.  Continually mislead by the VM in order to have me purchase as a Christmas gtift. three different ship dates by them the last being 12.27.16 to be here on 12.31.16 and agian they send me this review as the final insult to injury stating i should have it by now and to review it

It has been great up until a flat tire. Purchased the tube because the entire wheel assembly was half of summer to get off of back order. Impossible to get the tire off, etc. Maybe a bike shop can do it...otherwise you are a couple months from receiving replacement part.

It was really easy to set up. Just need to make sure that the front tire is straight prior and when putting on handle bars. It was great once my newly turned 10 y/o girls got use to not  accelerating when trying to break. Which happen after just one near collision. I would suggest to going over breaking and accelerating. They are pros now. I just hope this doesn't make them want motorcycles later in life.
